This site is a tribute to Adrian Turner, who was born in Kent on 11th March 1954 and died shortly before his 70th birthday on 31st January 2024.
He is a much loved Father, Husband, Grandad (DanDan) and Brother.
We have chosen two charities that were close and meaningful to our lovely Dad.
Hospiscare
Adrian was cared for at Searle House hospice, Exeter, in the week before his death. Hospiscare are a charity and support over 2,000 adults every year, across the heart of Devon. Searle House provided outstanding care in his final days and looked after our family sensitively and with compassion.
Prostate Cancer UK
1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is not always life-threatening. But when it is, the earlier you catch it the more likely it is to be cured.
Over the last two decades Prostate Cancer UK have funded and accelerated some of the biggest breakthroughs in prostate cancer care – from the use of multiparametric MRI to improve diagnosis, to the world’s first precision medicine for prostate cancer. But there is still a lot of work still to do. Our Dad was hopeful and passionate about scientific breakthroughs. His advice- get a PSA test!!
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and we will always remember him.
